Publish your website and make it visible

Your changes stay a draft until you publish

• Open the editor from the website's overview in the console. What you change there is saved by itself as a draft.
• Visitors keep seeing the last published version until you publish again. Until the first publish, they see that the site is not published yet.
• Publish is greyed out while the draft is the same as what is live.

Publish

If you are working on a design that is not your website's current one, the button offers “Make default” instead, once that design has been published.

1. Press Publish at the top right of the editor.
2. Confirm in the dialog. The draft replaces the live version.
3. The next dialog shows when it was published, the website's addresses and whether visitors can see it.

The “Visible to visitors” switch

• A new website stays hidden until the switch is on. You find it in the console under the website's Settings › Website details, and in the dialog after publishing.
• While it is off, visitors see a “temporarily offline” notice instead of your site. Your pages and settings stay as they are.
• Only the workspace owner can switch it.
• If your plan covers fewer websites and apps than the workspace runs, a website can be paused. The overview then says so; upgrade the plan or remove another app to bring it back.

Check the result

The website's overview in the console has a checklist — design, publish, visible, own domain, apps — and a preview of what visitors see right now. The checklist goes away once the site is published and visible.
